Welcome! My name is Ariel, and I'm the groomer at ZenDog Pet Spa. Growing up I was showing horses and dogs which made animal care an essential part of who I am. Today I share a home with my two beloved whippets, Benji & Freya.

I got my start in grooming in 2016 with show dogs. Assuring the safety and comfort of your pet is my highest priority. I am a member of the National Dog Groomers Association, maintain Fear Free Certified status, and attend continuing education annually.

What sets ZenDog Pet Spa apart from similar mobile groomers?

Excellence in service and quality is what we strive for in every step of your luxury experience. The services we provide are always tailored to your individual pet, at no additional cost. We never charge for “upgrades” such as specialty shampoo, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, nail buffing, etc. We do not charge a trip fee. Our groomers are also Fear Free Certified. This means they are trained to read and respect signs of Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) and to use techniques such as touch gradients, desensitization, taking breaks, and high value treats to build a positive relationship with your pet over time. The team at ZenDog Pet Spa will always treat you and your pet like family!

Do you service my area?

Cities we service are Addison, Allen, Aubrey, Carrollton, Celina, Coppell, Corinth, Cross Roads, Denton, Fairview, Farmers Branch, Flower Mound, Frisco, Highland Village, Krugerville, Lake Dallas, Lakewood Village, Lewisville, Little Elm, Lucas, McKinney, Oak Point, Paloma Creek, Parker, Pilot Point, Plano, Prosper, Providence Village, Richardson, Savannah, and The Colony. If you live in a city outside of our current service area you are welcome to fill out a New Client Inquiry and we will contact you when we expand to include your city.

What time will you arrive?

When scheduling a session, we will inform you which dates are available. Within 72 hours of your appointment, you will be notified of our estimated arrival time for your selected date of service. Sessions are scheduled with a 2-hour arrival window to optimize mobile routing and allow for pets who require additional time, such as seniors or even puppies.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice (1 business day) to cancel or reschedule a session. If our groomer knocks on your door but does not receive an answer, they will wait a maximum of 15 minutes before recording the session as a no-show. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, including no-shows, will be charged 100% of the service price to their card on file. All clients must have a valid credit or debit card on file.

I’m accustomed to paying $XX.XX for grooming! Why are your services so much more expensive?

Concierge Grooming is a highly luxurious experience for you and your pet! Your investment in our services reflects the convenience, quality, and experience we bring to your doorstep.

Do you groom large dogs?

Yes! We groom all breeds and sizes of dog.

Do you groom cats?

Yes! We love to groom cats.

Will you need to utilize my water or electric supply?

No. Our vans are state of the art and fully self-contained so we will never need to use your utilities to groom your pet. The van must idle while our groomer is working.

Where will you park your van?

We will require a level surfaced area at least 15ft in length for parking our van. If your driveway is on an incline there must be adequate and level street parking near the front of your home.

Do you require clients to maintain a grooming schedule?

Yes, we do require all clients to maintain a standing appointment for grooming. By requesting a grooming session you agree to a 2, 4, or 8 week rotation. Clients who cancel multiple appointments will be removed from the rotation and put at the end of our waiting list.

Do I need to be home for my pet to be groomed?

For clients who cannot be home during our available grooming hours we offer VIP Access. Leave a key/access code/garage code for our groomer while you are away. A combination grooming and pet care visit, your pet will receive potty breaks both before and after grooming, as well as an offering of fresh water at the end of their session. VIP Access is available to all clients after their first session, at no additional charge.

What shampoo and products do you use?

Here at ZenDog we are committed to using only the highest quality products on your pet. That is why we exclusively use Les Poochs luxury grooming shampoos. Long regarded as the gold standard of the grooming industry, Les Poochs shampoos come imported from France. We also use their matching conditioners, ear cleaner, detangling sprays, and colognes.

I have allergies. Can you use an unscented shampoo?

Yes! We offer a variety of Les Poochs luxurious shampoos including Hypoallergenic (unscented), Whitening, Seasonal Scents, Masculine Scents, and Feminine Scents. Additionally, clients are always welcome to provide their own shampoo for our groomer to use on their pet.

My pet is matted. Will you brush out the mats?

No. We do not offer dematting services because it is very painful for your pet. As Fear Free Certified Groomers, we have taken an oath not to cause fear, anxiety, or stress to any pet while in our care. Painful dematting during a grooming session will certainly cause your pet to experience all the above. Any pet who is matted will need to be shaved. Ears and tails that are not matted to the skin may be gently brushed out at our groomer’s discretion.

My pet is nervous at the groomers. Is mobile grooming right for them?

Our Concierge Grooming services are ideal for pets who are anxious about grooming. We come directly to your doorstep so there is never a car ride before grooming and your pet is the only one in our serene mobile salon. We are a Fear Free Certified Groomer, which means we do everything in our power to keep your pet as comfortable as possible during their spa treatment.

My pet may be aggressive with the groomer. Will you groom them?

Our aggressive dog policy is as follows:

If a pet becomes aggressive during grooming, we reserve the right to muzzle them to protect our staff and the pet from harm. We will continue to utilize Fear Free methods as much as possible throughout their session. If we are unable to complete the groom due to aggressive behavior the cost of any services rendered will be charged. Animal bites will be reported to the local authorities as required by law. The pet owner will be liable for any groomer’s medical expenses and damages that result from an animal bite, in accordance with Texas state law. ZENDOG PET SPA LLC is not liable for injury to your pet resulting from aggressive behavior during grooming.

What vaccinations do you require?

All pets must have a current rabies vaccination as required by state law. Because your pet will never come in direct contact with another pet we do not require and additional vaccines.

Do you offer flea treatments?

No! We do not accept pets with fleas for grooming. If our groomer finds 3 or more fleas on your pet, they will be treated with flea shampoo and given a CapStar flea-killing pill. An equipment & van cleaning fee of $100 will apply in addition to the cost of services rendered.
